So, my first illustration was created under the influence of my favorite painting by John William Waterhouse, "The Mermaid."
For the second mermaid, I chose the theme of algae, and I was inspired by incredible photos of seals, which look like huge birds in an underwater forest, scurrying among giant sea vines.
For the next mermaid, I was inspired by a photo of the Great Barrier Reef! It is one of the most beautiful natural wonders of our planet, as well as the largest living organism visible even from space!
This illustration was inspired by koi fish with their fabulous patterns and varied colors and spots.
